The SEO Contest

It has been five days since I got another domain,
isulongseophil.net, to join the "The Php130,000 SEO Contest." The
contest is the first on its kind here in the Philippines, where search
engine optimization is not so popular compared to other countries like
the U.S. It aims to develop and promote search engine marketing (SEM)
in the country. In order to win, your site should be the top search results in Google.Com.Ph when the phrase isulong seoph is queried.
Most of the contest entries are blog sites. I chose to be different.
Instead of creating another blog, I use a bulletin board system (phpBB by the way) as my site. I’m
planning to continue developing the site even after the contest. I hope
that many people, particularly those who are interested in sharing
their knowledge on SEO, will join and participate in the discussions.
As for the BigDaddy Google, it has not able to index my site inspite
of the tools and strategies that I’m using. Maybe the Big G is still
busy with some stuffs. It has crawled my site many times, as indicated
in my Google Sitemaps
account. But for some other reasons, my site is still not included in
the Google database. But I’m not losing hope, and I have more than two
months to make it in the Google pages. To make it in Google is already
a BIG win for me!
